  Overview

The quiet of the remote desert and mountains of Southern Arizona and New Mexico is deceptive. In the 1800s that quiet was shattered by one of the epic struggles of white against Indian in American history. It is back to that time that Historian Guide Neil Mangum, a documented authority on the period, will take us. He will bring back to us all the drama, passion, and poignancy of the Apache Wars. Through his presentations Cochise and Geronimo will live again in your imaginations.

He has had two stints at the Little Bighorn National Monument, the first as chief historian, the second as park superintendent. He is the author of The Battle of the Rosebud: Prelude to the Little Bighorn and more than 50 articles on the Indian Wars
