  Overview

We invite you to embark on a voyage of discovery; to step back into the golden age of steamboatin’ on the only steam powered sternwheeler that is also a registered Historic National Landmark – the Delta Queen. As you sail on the Black Warrior River, the Tombigbee Waterway, and the Tennessee River, your knowledge of the Civil War campaigns at this tumultuous time in our nation’s history will come to life. Onboard historians will give you new insights into the causes of the “War Between the States.” Their enriching lectures and optional shore tours will allow you to explore battlefields and historic sites along the way. This is your chance to walk the now still fields of battle, and get to know those brave men in blue and gray.
